Oberstdorf (first
mentioned in history in 1141) is the most
southern city of Germany located in the Algäu region
of the Bavarian Alps.The city located at the foot of
the Nebelhorn and Fellhorn mountain has an altitude
of 813 metres. The summits of these mountains gives
an unbelievable view of the alps. |

Oberstdorf is
famous for its wintersports, sports facilities and
events. Most famous event is the Ski Jumping
Four Hills Tournement. The Nordic Skiing World
Championships were held in Oberstdorf in 1987, 2005 and 2021. |

Due to the
great Sports minded mentality of the people of
Oberstdorf the city also has a great history in
Figure skating and Shorttrack. Many Shorttrack
competitions like the Europa Cup, StarClass and
German national championships were held in Oberstdorf.
In 2022 the Oberstdorf Shorttrack Summercamp will be held for the 11th time with
shorttrack skaters from all over the
world. |
