Masters
International Short Track Games
The Masters
International Short Track Games is held every 2-years in the odd years.
It is
the unofficial World Championship Short Track for skaters of the age of 30+
years. The competition is held in age-groups of 5 years.
The
competition is organized by a Local Organizing Committee (LOC) under auspices
of the International Masters Speed Skating Committee (MISSC). The MISSC is,
in close cooperation with the International Skating Union (ISU), the world
coordinating body
for Masters in the sport of Speed Skating and Short Track.
The MIST
Games is not only a competition to determine who is the best skater in his
own age-category. It is also an Event were former opponents meet each other
again on the battle field of the Ice and share their love for the sport in a
sportive way.
Around the
competition a number of social activities are organized in order to
celebrate, with skaters from all over the world, the highlights in the history
of our sport.
It is a great honor to
organize the Masters Games to show respect to the Champions of the Past who
are the Motivators for the Future.
