For the Masters International Short Track Games in Amsterdam
the Organising Committee needs to know for which activities
the attending skaters want to make reservations. This is for
the Excursions, Meals at the Ice rink Skaters Lounge and
Ice-sessions for training. For this reason a special
Questionnaire form has been made. We request al skaters to
fill in this form and send it back by
Email as soon as possible. This form must be send not later
then
friday 7 April 2023 as the OC has to make all kinds of
reservations based on this information. We do thank all

Souvenirs MIST Games Amsterdam 2023 now available
01-04-2023.
For the Masters International Short Track Games Amsterdam
2023 several nice souvenirs have been developed by the
Amsterdam Organising Committee together with
WebshopConstanze.nl. The souvenirs are a Hoody, Beach Towel
in several sizes, Skate Towel to dry your skates and a Skate
Cover. All with the logo of the MIST Games 2023.
The souvenirs can be ordered for at

The souvenirs will be ready packed and handed
out in the Skaters Lounge at the Ice rink at the
Registration desk. A special Info bulletin about the

26-03-2023. With only 5 days to
go the Entry for the Masters Games Amsterdam 2023 is on full
speed now. 100 skaters from 37 clubs out of 13 countries
have entered for this event organised by the Amsterdam
skating Club Jaap Eden. The oldest women entered is Ann
Douglas (CAN) in the category 70+ and with the Men Arne
Kjell Foldvik (NOR) in the category 80+. |

Arne Kjell Foldvik eldest entered skater untill now
16-03-2023. Arne Kjell Foldvik
from Trondheim Norway has entered for the Masters
International Short Track Games Amsterdam 2023. Arne, who
has a long skating career, has skated all over the world
many Longtrack and Shorttrack competitions. He is for many
year competitor in the Masters competitions and has many
World-age records on his name in many distances. In
Amsterdam he will skate in the category 80+. Just a
little bit younger behind him is Mick O'Dea from Sheffield
who entered in the category 75+. The eldest Women
category with skaters entered is the 70+ with Ann Douglas from Canada. Behind
her in the category 65+ is Karen Doolan also from Canada.

Special medal design for MIST Games
Amsterdam
13-03-2023. A special medal has
been designed for the Masters International Short Track
Games 2023 in Amsterdam. This unique medal, with a diameter
of 50 millimeter, has an open structure in which the logo of the
Event is modelled in 3D. The name of the Event is engraved
in the circle around the logo. At the back side the distance,
category and classification will be engraved. The medal will
be awarded in Gold, Silver and Bronze to the distance
winners of all categories. |

09-03-2023. The entry for the
Masters International Short Track Games Amsterdam 2023 is on
full speed now. Although we already have seen skaters from
12 countries entered for the competition we still miss a number of traditional
Shorttrack countries like the USA, Japan and Korea. But also
many countries from Europe did not yet enter skaters. So we
ask all skaters from the World to help us and promote the
MIST Games specially made in honour of all the Shorttrack
Masters of the World. For this reason we have published

08-03-2023. With 42 days to go
for the start of the Masters International Short Track Games
in Amsterdam the Entry is speeding up now. Untill now 87 skaters from 33 clubs out of 12
countries have entered for the competition. Also many
skaters have decided to come earlyer and also skate the week
before for the Golden Sun Award in Amsterdam or even the
week before that the Easter Cup in Gent - Belgium. |

Anouncement updated with new hotel
information
07-03-2023.
Announcement version-2 is availabale now with
updated hotel information. Hotel 't Meertje is a small
family-hotel in a little village called Vinkeveen, South of
Amsterdam. It is a 15 minutes drive by car to the Ice rink.
No parking problems, free parking and very friendly. For
more then 25 years Officials and Skaters of the Open Dutch
Championships have been hosted here. The costs are 40,00
euro per person per night including breakfast. Requests for
reservations can ONLY be made by Email through the
Organising Committee. The number of places is limited! |

11-02-2023. The Bastion Hotel in Almere has made a
Special discount Offer for the Masters International Short Track
Games. You also can use this offer if you come for the
competition the weekend before: the Golden Sun Award -
Sliver M for Masters. This hotel has been used for many competitions in the
past and is one of the cheapest around Amsterdam. All
competition officials will stay in this hotel. The hotel has a lot of free
parking. Over the highway it takes 12 minutes by car to the Icerink in
Amsterdam. Public Transport by bus is also possible but
takes 40 minutes. The Bus Stop in Almere is 500 meter from the
hotel. The Bus Stop in Amsterdam is 300 meter from the Ice rink.

Short Track Games Amsterdam 2023 is on full speed now.
Untill today 50 skaters from 20 clubs out of 9 countries
have entered for this event. From the Netherlands 13 skaters
are entered followed by both Canada and France with 10
skaters and Great Britain with 7. We still miss a number of
traditional Shorttrack countries like the USA, Japan and
Korea. But also many countries form Europe did not yet enter
skaters. So we ask all skaters from the world to help us and
promote this MIST Games specially made in honour of all the
Shorttrack Masters of the World. |

Extra competition for Masters "Easter Tournement Gent"
12-01-2023. If you come to the Masters Games in
Amsterdam and have the intention to stay a bit longer it
will give you the opportunity to skate more competitions.
Besides the week for the Masters Games with the extra
competition in Amsterdam, it also is possible to stay one
week more and to skate an extra competition in Belgium. On
8-9 April the Skating Club Kristalijn Gent is organising the
41st edition of the famous interclub tournement called the
Easter Tournement. If you are interested and stay 2 weeks in total
in Europe you can skate 3 weekends competitions with a
special classification for Masters. Entry for this
competition can be done in the same way as the other
competitions: by the club-secretary on

Extra competition "Golden Sun Award" week before MIST Games
10-01-2023. The Amsterdam Skating Club Jaap Eden is
organizing on 15-16 April an international
shorttrack competition named "The Golden Sun Award". The
competition will be held in Amsterdam on the same Ice rink
were a week later the Masters International Short Track
Games will be
held. The competition has also a special classification for
Masters called the "Silver M". Attendants of the MIST
Games who decide to come a few days earlyer can also
compete in this competition and have an extra competition in

09-01-2023. The Masters International Short Track
Games Amsterdam 2023 are now also accepted into the official
competition Calendar of the International Skating Union.. This means that the status of the
competition has been upgraded now to an ISU approved level. |

02-01-2023. Today the Worldwide promotion campaign for
the Masters International Short Track Games 2023 in
Amsterdam has started. Many people in the world will receive

information for the MIST Games. We request all people
receiving the announcement to forward this to all Shorttrack
skaters whome you are in contact with. The announcement will
also be send to all clubs which are in our database and also
to the ISU and Federations. The website

Entry for the Masters International Short Track Games
16-23 April in Amsterdam is open now on the website
Shorttrackonline.info. Registered clubs can enter their
skaters now into the Entry system. The most of the European
clubs have a password for entering skaters. If a club does
not have a password they have to apply for this through the
special request form. Requests will be checked on validity
before handing out a password. This can take up to 2 weeks
before the club receives the login data. |

Project Plan Masters Games

Skating Club Jaap Eden has prepared an Project
Plan for the Masters International Short Track Games Amsterdam 2023.
This plan has been presented to the IMSSC delegates at their meeting in July
2022 in
Zaandam (NED). The plan has been agreed upon and here also the

Amsterdam proposed for MIST Games
10-04-2019. At the
Melbourne edition of the Masters International Short
Track Games representative of the Amsterdam Skating Club
Jaap Eden, Piet Broekhuizen, proposed to organize the
2023 edition in Amsterdam. This would be an activity in
the frame of the 40 year aniversary of the Amsterdam
Skating Club Jaap Eden. The ASC Jaap Eden organised in
the past the World Championships of 1985 and 1990 and
many other competitions like StarClass and National
Championships. |
